Research Keywords

Search a keyword to see how it performs, and discover related keywords.

Search for a keyword

  1. Go to Content Marketing > Keywords.
  2. You'll land on the Keyword Research tab.
  3. Type a keyword into the search box, for example "good house plants for beginners".
  4. Choose a Location. This defaults to your project's country, if you have one set.
  5. Click Search.

Your usage counter at the top shows how many searches you have left this month. Once you reach your limit, you'll see an upgrade prompt instead of the search results.

Reading your results

After a search, you'll see:

  • A summary card for your exact keyword: its competition level, search volume, and bid range.
  • A Search Trends chart showing how search volume for that keyword has changed over the past 12 months.
  • A Related keywords table listing every suggestion Contendar found, with search volume, competition, and bid range for each one.

Save keywords to a plan

  1. Tick the checkboxes next to the keywords you want.
  2. Click Add to plan.
  3. Choose which Keyword plan to add them to.
  4. Click Add.

You need at least one keyword plan already created for this dropdown to have options. See Create a keyword plan.
