Invite Customers

Instead of only sharing your form link, you can invite specific customers to give a score by email.

Send invites

  1. Go to NPS > Forms.
  2. Open the form you want to send.
  3. Go to the Invites tab.
  4. Click Invite customers.
  5. Select one or more existing customers. If a customer is not in your list yet, click Add new customer to add them without leaving the dialog.
  6. Click Send invites.

Each customer gets an email with a personal "Give your score" link. Their name and email are filled in for them automatically when they open the form, and their response is tied to their customer record.

After sending, you get a summary showing how many invites were sent, and how many were skipped. A customer is skipped if they have no email on file, or if they have unsubscribed.

Customers who cannot be invited

In the customer picker, a customer is greyed out and cannot be selected if:

  • They have no email on file.
  • They have unsubscribed from your requests.

What the customer can do from the email

Every invite email has two links at the bottom:

  • Not interested this time: the customer declines this one request. You can still invite them again later.
  • Unsubscribe from these requests: the customer opts out of all future NPS invites for this project.

Customers who unsubscribe show an Unsubscribed badge and are dimmed out in the customer picker so you know not to invite them again.

Track invite status

The Invites tab shows a table of every invite you have sent, with its current status: Pending, Sent, Failed, Responded, or Declined. Use the filters to find a specific customer or status.

On any row, open the ⋯ menu to:

  • Resend the invite. This is not available once the customer has responded, declined, or unsubscribed.
  • Remove the invite from the list.

Automatic reminders

If a customer does not respond, Contendar can send up to three follow-up emails on a fixed schedule. This is turned off by default. See Set up automatic reminder emails .

Declining, unsubscribing, or submitting a score always stops any remaining reminders for that customer.
