Create a Design With AI

Turn a post idea into a finished visual, using AI.

Open the design editor

On a post's card, click Create Design. This opens the Design Editor with a canvas already sized for Instagram, and set to the right number of slides if your post is a Carousel.

Generate a design (Quote, Infographic, iPhone Notes)

In the editor, click Generate Design.
In the Generate Design with AI dialog, describe what you want in Describe the design, for example "Create me a bold Instagram quote design with a dark background and gold accent colors".
Optionally upload a Reference image.
Click Generate.

Contendar automatically includes your post's title, caption, and content angle, plus your content plan's tone of voice and visual style, so you don't need to repeat any of that in your description.

Generate a carousel

If your post's format is Carousel, click Generate to open Generate Carousel with AI. Choose one of two modes:

Full carousel: regenerates every slide (cover, content, and closing slides), replacing what's there.
This slide only: regenerates just the slide you currently have open.

Carousel generation is a beta feature.

Daily generation limit

AI design generation has a daily limit, shared across every design you create in Contendar, not just Instagram posts. If you see "Daily limit reached", you'll need to wait until the next day, or finish the design by hand.

After generating

You can keep editing the design by hand in the same editor, move text, swap images, change colors, and download it when you're ready to post it yourself.
