Create a Core Theme

A Core Theme is the broad topic your content strategy is built around, for example "Home Fitness Equipment." Every Hub and Spoke sits under a Core Theme.

Create a theme

  1. Go to Content Marketing > Blogs.
  2. Go to the SEO Strategy tab.
  3. Click Create Theme.

You'll see two tabs in the dialog:

AI

  1. Choose a Keyword Plan — a saved list of keywords from the Keywords tool.
  2. Optionally add Additional Guidance, for example "focus on beginner audiences, emphasize technical content."
  3. Click Generate with AI.

Manual

  1. Enter a Title.
  2. Choose a Keyword Plan.
  3. Add a Description.

You need at least one Keyword Plan before you can create a theme. Set one up in the Keywords section first.

View your themes

The SEO Strategy tab shows a summary strip (Total Themes, Published, Hubs, Spokes) and a card for each theme, showing its linked Keyword Plan and how many Hubs and Spokes it has. Click a theme to open it.
