Add Post Ideas
A post is one Instagram post idea inside your content plan, its title, format, and caption, ready to be turned into a design.
Add a post
- Open your content plan.
- Go to the Posts tab.
- Click New Post.
- Fill in the fields:Title: for example "3 tips for better sleep".Format: Quote, Infographic, iPhone Notes, or Carousel.Number of slides: only shown if you pick Carousel. Choose between 1 and 20.Content Angle: the theme this post fits, for example "Educational".Caption: the actual caption text you'll use on Instagram.
- Click Create Post.
Track a post's status
Open a post and click Edit to change its Status:
| Status | What it means |
| Idea | The post is just an idea so far. |
| Designing | You're working on the visual. |
| Ready | The design is finished and ready to post. |
| Published | You've posted it in Instagram yourself. |
| Failed | It didn't work out. |
You set this status yourself. Contendar does not connect to Instagram, so it cannot detect when you've actually posted something. "Published" is just your own note to yourself.
